About Horsecapades

"Horsecapades" is a performance of the largest precision drill riding group in the world: the Westernaires.

High speed, precision horsemanship in a dazzling array of costumes. Bullwhips and rope tricks. Flaming batons. Historical battle reenactments. Astonishing trick riding. All performed by young people who have chosen the road less traveled.

Westernaires is a non-profit organization located in Golden, Colorado, comprised of over 1,000 dedicated young people, aged 9 to 19, and the 500 adult volunteers who assist them.

Since 1949, Westernaires develops young people of character through horsemanship and family participation — fostering self-respect, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership while carrying forward the best traditions of the West.

Contributions to Westernaires are tax-deductible in the United States. Thank you for watching, and thank you for your support.

While we’d love for our supporters to attend Horsecapades performances in person, we understand that this isn’t always possible. Westernaires is thrilled to offer a livestreaming option this year for our Sunday Horsecapades performance.
