MaryAnn by Andrea
The pony that I chose to do my pony profile on is MaryAnn. I drive, catch, and groom Sandy now, but I used to catch and groom MaryAnn. MaryAnn was named after Mary Ann Butler, a former Hoedowners instructor. She is Harry’s sister. She is a 16 year-old Shetland, a pretty deep brown color, with a long forelock, mane, and tail that are all dirty blonde and wavy. That's how I recognize her in the herd - the long, wavy, blonde hair. Her substitute is old, but fast, Cinnamon.
When I used to groom her, I remember that I had to begin her hoof-picking on the front right side instead of the usual front left side. Also she'd knot her pretty mane beforehand when I had to show-groom her, which was a real pain to deal with. She would also roll really thoroughly to make herself good and dirty when I had to groom her. MaryAnn made up for all of that by being an excellent bridler for me. Nonetheless she is overall a sweet, stubborn, pink-lovin' gal (pink is the color of her cart). She will always be one of my babies and I will always love her.
