Brutus by Jenna of Chaparrals

Brutus is my favorite horse at Westernaires. I had Brutus for JGE (Junior Grand Entry) He did great in show. I am very sad JGE is over because I won't get to ride Brutus every Saturday. It has been such a good experience doing JGE.

He is such a sweet heart. I know alot of people say he is really slow and won't go. But actually Brutus is really fast. All you have to do is encourage him. I can always find Brutus in the pasture. He is always eating.

At first it was hard to get him to go. But you have to have patience with Brutus.

With him you just have to kick kick kick and cluck it. It was also hard because I am really short and my spurs don't go far enough down.

He is such a great ride. HE looks alot better in person.
HE will always have a special place in my Heart.
I LOVE MY BIG BLACK MUSTANG!

Brutus by Brenna of Chaparrals

Brutus is so amazing! He is one of the mustangs in Westernaires. He has long bangs and loves cookies. He looks a lot like Dakota but, he goes when you want him to.

He is my favorite horse in Westernaires. He has two white socks on his back feet and a star and snip. He is chubby and has a great personality! He always loves it when you give him hugs.

Brutus is an awesome groom and will not hurt anyone. Well there is a lot to say about Brutus that I can't describe.

Brutus by Olivia of Royal Rangers

Brutus has been my assigned horse on red division for some time now. I recently just moved up to Royal Rangers from Nighthorse Rangers and Brutus came with me.

I look forward to working with Brutus every week because he has so much love and is always willing to work hard to please me in team and Liberty. Brutus has come a long way from when he first arrived at Westernaires last year and its all thanks to his trainer Dana who recently graduated. Dana and I also took Brutus to his first annual show this year and he did very well; we were very proud of him.

A lot of people say they don't like Brutus because he is slow or he doesn't go. For some people that may be true but all he really needs is a rider with a lot of patience and one who will push him and encourage him to go. I always laugh when people tell me he is too slow because I know what he can do and I know how fast he can run!

If you ever have Brutus at one of your rides I recommend not getting impatient with him. Just take a big breath and let him know that you are boss and you are not going to give up on him. Once he knows that, he is a whole different horse that aims to please!

You can always find Brutus in the pasture with Pistol. Pistol is his girlfriend and when you bring Brutus back home from a long day of hard work she is almost always waiting for him at the gate or comes to greet him once he is in the pasture.

Brutus is my baby boy, my best friend and my love. Nothing can separate us and I hope that he stays with me for the rest of my Westernaire career and that in a couple of years I will get to graduate off of him!
