As part of the Bureau of Land Managment's Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Program, Westernaires has adopted many mustangs. We anticipate adopting more of these horses in the future, helping us provide horses for those Westernaires who don't own their own horses, and helping BLM in its efforts to keep the size of wild herds in the West at sustainable levels. The new horses are broken before arriving at Westernaires, and two of the mustangs, Thor and Apache, even participated in the Red Team's performance at the 1999 Annual Show. Apache had only been with us for two weeks before the show!
