Treasurer Retires, New Treasurer

Westernaires Treasurer Retires

Eleanor Feazell, Westernaires Treasurer, announced her retirement effective January 1, 1999. Mrs. Feazell had been Treasurer since 1984, having been elevated to the Board of Directors and to that position upon the retirement of the former Treasurer, Mrs. Gladys Robinson. Mrs. Feazell had a long history of volunteering at Westernaires. She was the monitor of Precisionettes when, in 1978, she became the monitor of the Varsity Big Red Team and the Chief Monitor of Westernaires. She served in those positions until the death of Westernaires founder E.E. Wyland in may, 1983, at which time Mrs. Feazell joined Mr. Keller as the co-instructor of the Red Team. She held that position for just a few months when she determined to retire. That retirement was short lived as she was sought out to fill the Treasurer's post in early 1984.

"The Board of Directors has been the beneficiary of Mrs. Feazell's dedication and hard work for 15 years" said Director Glen Keller, "but she brought more than that to the Board. She was a repository for Westernaires history and was particularly important in maintaining our standards through observance of the rules developed over many years while she chaired the Rules Committee. She will be sorely missed. We wish her and her husband Gene happy retirement. All of us are jealous of her travel plans and her chance to spend time with her family."
